The Curiosity Spark was founded to bring learning to life through character-led experiences that nurture confidence, creativity, and curious minds.
Created by performer and experienced learning facilitator Blake Feltis, it combines storytelling, interactive learning, and live performance to deliver workshops and events children remember long after they end.

Howdy,
I’m Blake — performer, storyteller, kids’ entertainer, and the founder behind The Curiosity Spark.
With a background in theatre-in-education, acting and years spent working with young people in all sorts of creative learning environments, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when education becomes something children step into rather than simply sit through.
Spoiler alert: curiosity catches quickly.
Where It Began
The lessons that stayed with me growing up weren’t the ones I memorised for exams — they were wrapped in characters, stories, creativity, and discovery.
Because there’s so much more to learning than grades or correctly applying Pythagoras’ theorem.
The world needs confidence, empathy, imagination, teamwork, perspective, and curiosity — the qualities that rarely appear on a report card but shape who we become.
So I found myself asking some questions:
What is curiosity?
Where does it come from?
What does it mean to be curious?
What if we could nurture that spark early?
When It Really Clicked
Working with young people through theatre, professional workshops, and children’s entertainment revealed something powerful to me:
When learning feels like play, curiosity catches fire.
Kids become braver.
More expressive.
More thoughtful.
Inquisitive.
Suddenly the room fills with imagination, questions, and the kind of laughter we often forget to make time for as adults when life gets all sorts of busy...

A Bigger Perspective
After several years travelling and guiding tours across Europe, I noticed that same curious spark come alive in people of all ages - discovering new places, ideas, cultures, foods, and new versions of themselves.
Wherever we are, whatever we do, curiosity turns the unfamiliar into adventure.
Adventure becomes growth.
And the world opens up when we care enough to explore it.
That realization stayed with me - and I needed to do something about it...
So I created The Curiosity Spark to help young people build confidence, think independently, and step into the world with curiosity leading the way.
Why It Matters
There is so much more to learning than academics alone.
Curious kids become curious adults.
And curious adults build richer lives, stronger communities, and a more imaginative world.
